Goethe vs Einstein.
Get going. Do what you can. Magic, genius, power.
Or study the problem to really understand it.
Only then, act.
Which one is your approach?

"Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it! Boldness has genius, magic, and power in it." - Goethe

But, whoa, there is also Einstein.

"If I had an hour to solve a problem and my life depended on the solution, I would spend the first 55 minutes determining the proper question to ask, for once I know the proper question, I could solve the problem in less than five minutes." - Einstein

Okay, starting with Einstein, I get: Only fools rush in. Get to know the problem well, to see what is really going on.

I remember reading about the world’s most famous problem solver for massive oil-well fires. He would come and study the problem for 2 or 3 days. Sounds like the he used the Einstein approach.

And then there is Goethe. Don’t just keep exploring the problem. Get going. BEGIN IT!! BEGIN THE DOING!! Be bold. That’s the route of genius, magic and power.

Plus, often a next step becomes visible.

I am more inclined to go with Goethe.

For example, I'm on LinkedIn because a trusted source twice sent me an email suggesting I take a free mini-workshop on it. I haven’t looked back.

I started a group, because I couldn't find one right for me.

On Nov 6, another venture. A meeting group, Getting There from Here.

It looks like it's taking off.

Are you more of an Einstein or a Goethe?

Whichever you are, all the best to all who care and do what we can,

Elsa
